Club History

The original course was founded on the existing site in 1985 when 9-holes were first opened for play.

In 1995 Caddington Golf Club opened as an 18-hole facility, formed by the members of the Vauxhall Recreation Club. From its inception, the club was always closely associated with Vauxhall Motors’ employees, but its membership has also always been open to the public.

Ex Golf Club Captains were key members in driving the membership success and running the Golf Club up until being sold.

Since McGee acquired the club in 2008, the plan has been to make a substantial investment to make the necessary upgrades to existing facilities; bringing the club in line with recognised standards for golf, and to compete with other venues in the area. The overall Master Plan – through the importation of inert soil, the existing facility is being re-modelled, re-shaped and re-designed, creating 27 challenging holes, including practice facilities.
