COVID - 19 Guidance


1. Course Access

You must not be displaying COVID-19 symptoms
You must have a pre reserved tee time

2. Booking and Arrival

Members/guests will be able to book a round up to 10 days in advance.
We require all players to provide a phone number or email address to enable contact tracing
All golfers will be made aware of our requirements prior to their visit
Arrival at the course must be no more than 20 minutes prior to the reserved tee time
Please report straight to reception upon arrival to check in for health and safety purposes

3. Check-in and Pro Shop Protocol

Mandatory check-in at the reception/proshop for all golfers
Facemasks must be worn at ALL times in the clubhouse, this includes reception, proshop, toilets and bar area. Masks maybe removed when seated and either drinking/eating in the bar area.
One way system is in place and marked with floor indicators. Entrance through the front door and exit by changing rooms or balcony in the bar area
Scorecards will be provided and are for individual use only

4. Clubhouse Facilities

Toilets will have open entrance doors to reduce contact and will be cleaned regularly
Hand Dryers will be disabled and paper towels will be provided
Sanitised buggies will available. (Subject to weather conditions)
Players must provide their own clubs, hire sets will not be available

5. To the First Tee

Groups will be up to 4 Ball at 8 minute intervals.
Putting greens are open with no flags and hole cups filled and all must observe physical distancing while on the putting greens
Arrive at the 1st tee no more than 5 minutes before pre-reserved tee time
A ‘Social Distancing Marshal’ will patrol the car park, the course and the putting facilities to make sure the social distancing is being adhered to.
Tee times will be strictly observed to ensure 8 minute group spacing
Divot box mix is removed from circulation to reduce contact

6. On the Course

Open top rubbish bins and divot bins all removed
Ball washers removed or covered over
Hole cups made for simple, contact-free ball retrieval
Do not double back to play again if a ball is lost, unplayable, or in a penalty area
Equipment, food, and drink must not be exchanged between players
Players must not pick up another player’s equipment or golf ball
Only 1 golf ball to be played at a time during round, this to keep up with speed of play
Greenkeepers will have right of way on the course and are not to be approached at any time

7. Post Round

On Entry to the clubhouse facemasks MUST BE WORN by law at all times, this includes the bar area until seated as stated by the government. Please wear facemasks until seated and exiting the club
Please remember to use the hand sanitisers before entering and exiting the clubhouse
Please remember to sign in to the bar on either the NHS App or the track and trace sheet at the bottom of the stairs.
Smoking on the balcony is not permitted as this is an exit route
Facemasks MUST BE worn to the toilets
All floor routing must be adhered to at all times

8. Getting Home Safely

Hands may be washed and sanitised in the toilets or sanitising stations
Players must call or email the golf club with any post-round health issues or COVID-19 related queries, at the earliest possible opportunity
Caddington Golf club has an assigned COVID-19 Staff Officer responsible for managing such issues and queries
